Nuclear Medicine medical physics services can be provided for your facility on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis in accordance with NRC, Agreement State regulations, radioactive materials conditions and applicable Accreditation Body standards and guidelines (JCAHO, ACR, ACNP, ICANL) and what is specified in your facilities Radioactive Materials License.

Nuclear Medicine Program Audit includes:

• Spot checks of required records


• Observations of clinical practices


• Radiation safety surveys


• Perform radioactive sealed source leak tests on applicable sources at required intervals


• Perform radioactive sealed source inventory


• Perform annual dose calibrator accuracy test


• Perform quarterly dose calibrator linearity test if coordinated with quarterly audit


• QC tests of applicable counters/scalers


• Radiation Safety Committee meeting attendance when coordinated with scheduled visit


• Notification of Regulatory Changes and/or Updates


• Exit review with key personnel, when available


• Report of findings and recommendations in concise and timely manner


• Certificates of results provided to meet regulatory and licensing requirements


• Guidance documents provided to assist with record keeping process and development of policies and procedures


• Continuing Education Credit
